One week ago there’s been the Women’s march in the most important cities of the world to protest against Trump due to his “anti-women” comments.
Although it has been seen mainly as a protest against his controversial statements it was much more than that. People organised and united for their rights regardless of gender, ethnicity or religious beliefs, raising more awareness and giving power to those who couldn’t attend the march.
I met young people, students, biracial families and even tourists which all were genuine about their opinions and encouraged passers-by to join the march. Because it was my first march in London I intend to join more and certainly advice everyone to do the same.
The experience was joyful overall but it also reached its goal of making people reflect about what’s happening and how to demonstrate solidarity.
